Four deacons who have completed their studies at the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem Seminary in Beit Jala in Palestine spent five days in the Jesuit community at the Pontifical Biblical Institute on retreat, from Sunday June 13 to 17, 2021. One of the four, Nadim Giacaman, will be ordained a priest in his home town of Bethlehem on Saturday June 19, 2021. The other three, Ramez Twal, Louis Salman and Wajdi Sahouni, will be ordained in Jordan on August 12, 2021. The superior of the Jesuit community, Father David, who was their teacher of Scripture until 2020 in the Seminary, guided the deacons in the retreat, a time of prayer and reflection in preparation for their upcoming ordination.
