Father Bill was a regular sojourner in the Holy Land, for many years curator of the museum in Jerusalem’s Pontifical Biblical Institute and its archaeological collection. He passed away on November 29, 2021 at the age of 85.

The lecture was delivered as part of the series “Tuesdays at Tantur” in the Tantur Ecumenical Institute”, situated midway between Jerusalem and Bethlehem.

Our friends from the Teresian community in Jerusalem gave us two presents; a wonderful cloth for the altar and a batik fabric to cover it when there is no mass being celebrated. Both items are produced in the Philippines and were brought back by Filipina members of the Teresian community as gifts.
